Northumberland has a higher percentage of seniors per capita than the provincial average. Many continue to move to the region to retire and enjoy their senior years. Most of us value being able to age at home, but as needs increase with age, it is harder and harder for seniors to stay in their homes, creating many challenges for our health and long-term care systems, and for caregivers.
Join us for this Strategy Hive where we will explore innovative solutions to enable seniors and others with chronic conditions to stay in their homes. Together, we will explore how we can creatively use the resources we have, along with Northumberland’s neighbour-helping-neighbour culture, to come up with unique solutions for our elders and individuals living with chronic conditions.
